Welcome to NIA. By creating an account and using niaapp.net, you agree to these Terms of Service. Please read them carefully.

Zero tolerance policy: NIA has zero tolerance for objectionable content and abusive behavior of any kind. Accounts found in violation of this policy will be removed. Reports of objectionable content or abusive users are reviewed and acted on within 24 hours.

1. Who Can Use NIA

NIA is a relationship platform designed for East Africans and the East African diaspora. To use NIA you must:

Be at least 18 years old
Provide accurate and truthful information about yourself
Be a real person — no fake accounts, bots, or impersonation
Have genuine relationship intentions

2. Your Account

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials. You must notify us immediately at niaappsupport@gmail.com if you believe your account has been compromised.

You may not create multiple accounts. If we detect duplicate accounts, both may be suspended.

3. Acceptable Use

NIA is built on respect and intentionality. NIA has zero tolerance for objectionable content or abusive users. You agree not to:

Harass, threaten, or intimidate other members
Share false or misleading information on your profile
Use NIA for casual hookups, escort services, or commercial solicitation
Share another member's private information without their consent
Upload inappropriate, explicit, or offensive content
Attempt to hack, reverse engineer, or disrupt the platform
Use NIA to scam or defraud other members

4. Reporting and Blocking

If you encounter objectionable content or an abusive user, use the in-app Report and Block features available on every profile. Blocking a member immediately removes them from your Discover feed and prevents further contact. Reports are reviewed by our team, and we act on confirmed violations — including removing content and ejecting the offending user — within 24 hours of receiving the report.

5. Your Profile and Content

You own the content you post on NIA, including your photos, bio, and messages. By posting content, you grant NIA a limited license to display that content to other authenticated members for the purpose of facilitating connections.

We do not claim ownership of your content and we do not sell it to third parties.

6. Matching and Messaging

NIA only allows messaging between users who have mutually matched. Unsolicited messages are not possible by design. All interactions should remain respectful and intentional.

7. Account Suspension and Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms of Service, engage in harmful or abusive behavior, or misrepresent their identity. Severe violations, including objectionable content or abuse, may result in immediate termination without prior notice.

8. Disclaimers

NIA facilitates introductions between members but cannot guarantee the accuracy of any profile information, the outcome of any connection, or the behavior of any member. Use your judgment and stay safe when meeting people you have connected with online.

NIA is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We are not responsible for any harm arising from your use of the platform.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, NIA shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the platform.

10. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms of Service from time to time. We will notify users of significant changes by updating the date at the top of this page. Continued use of NIA after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
